Launching the GLOBAL BBA program from S P Jain

The world has changed rapidly and significantly over the past decade, and most of the world’s challenges are truly problems without passports (climate change, pandemics, terrorism, poverty, etc.). Having a first degree is no longer sufficient for training tomorrow’s managers and leaders to address these global issues. What is needed is a global mindset, and fostering that global mindset must start at the undergraduate level.

S P Jain is one of Asia’s top ranked Business Schools and is highly regarded for its MBA programs. With campuses in Dubai and Singapore and a new one currently being built in Sydney, it is fast gaining global recognition. At the Dubai campus in the Academic City, S P Jain runs a one year residential full time Global MBA Program and a two year part time Executive MBA for working professionals in the UAE.

S P Jain is pleased to announce the launching its new Global BBA Program in September 2010. The program is very uniquely crafted and one that focuses on character building, personality development and critical thinking apart from a rigorous academic curriculum. We believe that the Global BBA program offered by S P Jain will surely interest students who are now considering their college options.

In order to enable students to become a positive force for change and identify opportunities in the global arena, a new model of education is necessary. S P Jain’s Global BBA Program is designed with this context in mind. A uniquely crafted 2 + 2 model, it is a four-year full-time program with residential facilities arranged by S P Jain. The first two years are conducted in the garden city of Singapore and the next two years, in the ultra-modern and chic city of Sydney. Singapore and Sydney are two important geographies for understanding business and culture, and by living and studying in these two cities students will emerge with a global mindset and perspective.

The curriculum lays a solid foundation in major business subjects and also includes several liberal arts subjects to impart a holistic education to its students. It provides a firm grounding in critical thinking, integrating information, perspective-taking, recognizing bias, enhancing the cultural quotient, and advanced communication skills, which are at the very heart of a liberal education.

The focus of the Global BBA Program is to develop well-educated young graduates equipped with the right knowledge and skills combined with impressive personalities and high moral character. To this end, a substantial portion of the education is done outside conventional classroom and students are required to do a socially-oriented project through our in-house Philanthropy Academy. Additionally, students will choose from our eclectic menu of Certificate Programs such as Foreign Language, Innovation, and Negotiation & Mediation, which are conducted during the academic year as well as through our intense summer programs.
