Die RMIT University im australischen Melbourne ist für viele ihrer Studiengänge weltweit anerkannt.
Besonders in den Bereichen Architecture, Creative Arts, Engineering und Information Technology gilt sie als Marktführer, wie das VTAC (Victorian Tertiary and Admissions Centre) herausgefunden hat.
Strong demand for renowned programs
RMIT University is a market leader in first preferences in architecture, creative arts, engineering and related technologies, and information technology, according to VTAC (Victorian Tertiary and Admissions Centre) preliminary figures.
RMIT remains the second for first preferences among universities in Victoria.
RMIT had 17 per cent growth in first-preference creative arts applications and 11.4 per cent for education degrees.
Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Gardner AO, said that as Australia’s largest dual-sector university, RMIT had built a reputation for attracting talented people who were clear about what they wanted to be.
‘Each year, around 1,800 people apply for the 50 places in the architecture degree. It’s a competitive program with an international reputation for design excellence.
‘Our learning and research opportunities are firmly linked to the needs of industry and the community, and supported by world-class teaching staff.’
The University is the number one choice for non-school leavers and continues to rank number one in all areas of vocational education, with one in three vocational education students preferring RMIT as their place of study.
Future students will be able to study at the Swanston Academic Building, to be constructed on Swanston Street in the city.
